One of life’s little highlights—for me, at least—is walking in the luxury brand retailers and admiring the craftsmanship. The salespeople are friendly and we talk about fashion shows, the legacy of their designers and they are generous with their knowledge.
I imagine I’m going to a museum to look at artifacts and admire the workmanship of the ateliers and designers. If I like what I see, I incorporate techniques into the work I do.
So here is my signature design, the perfect Spring/Summer skirt for Hawaii.
I call this The “Punahele” because in Hawaiian, it means “favorite.” The first one I made for me, I just couldn’t wait for it to be washed so I can use it again!

-flat front with elastic waistband in back
